David Wang Appointed Senior Lecturer at StGallen imt Business School

David Wang, Founder and CEO of Wang Advisory GmbH, has been appointed Senior Lecturer at StGallen imt Business School, strengthening the collaboration between the business school and Wang Advisory at the intersection of integrated management, AI transformation, strategy and digital transformation.

The appointment follows an ongoing exchange between Wang and Prof. Dr. Christian Abegglen, a leading expert on the St. Gallen Integrated Management Concept, including their recent work on the report “Integrated Management in the AI Era.”

The report explores a fundamental management challenge: while AI adoption is accelerating rapidly, many organisations still struggle to translate individual experimentation into enterprise-wide value.

“AI is fundamentally changing how organisations are managed. David Wang brings extensive practical experience from transformation, strategy and AI-related client projects and connects this perspective with the principles of integrated management,” said Prof. Dr. Christian Abegglen.

From an integrated management perspective, three implications stand out:

AI maturity is a management challenge, not merely a technology challenge.Sustainable value requires alignment across strategy, leadership, organisation, governance and execution.

AI must move from isolated use cases into the management system.Processes, roles, decision rights and operating models need to evolve alongside technology.

Enterprise value is created in everyday work. AI transformation becomes real when employees and managers integrate AI into daily workflows, decisions and collaboration.

“AI transformation cannot remain a collection of pilots, tools or management PowerPoints. The real opportunity is to integrate AI into how the organisation thinks, decides and operates,” said David Wang.

As Senior Lecturer, Wang will contribute his management consulting and transformation experience to the StGallen imt Business School community, connecting management theory with practical insights from AI transformation, strategy, M&A and enterprise transformation.
